competitive strategy is focused more on top leadership. Everything is taken
into consideration such as range, price and convenience, which gives them a
competitive advantage over others. Even though other online companies are
constantly competing with Amazon, it has some process implementation features
that give it a competitive advantage based on the existing information system.
Some of its competitors include Walmart, eBay, and Google, among others. Its
recommendation engine is supported by ultra-modern algorithms that can explore
the client's data, buying history, and search histories, making it easy to
predict what the customer might need in the future. The recommendation engine
makes Amazon competitive because of its ability to identify the target
customers of the various services offered (Du et al.,2022). It also offers
suggestions of other products based on what a customer wants, which makes it
easy for a customer to have a broad range of products they can choose from.
The
recommendation engine is well structured to cater to the customers' needs. The
suggestion of different products helps the Company to reduce its stock faster
and reduce the cost attributed to unsold inventory. The engine allows them to
maintain competitive prices and an efficient supply chain. Apart from
benefiting the customers, the search engine greatly and positively impacts
Amazon Company. By going through different customers' data, the Company becomes
more aware of current trends, improving their market decisions. This feature
then makes it more competitive in the online market industry.
I never shop at Amazon until last month, but I can tell you Amazon have Varity of goods online. Very nice clothing line, shoes, bags, food.
